Brand Name:
Andromeda Aesthetics
Andromeda Aesthetics, LLC. A boutique medspa in Moneta, Virginia.
Tagline or Slogan:
Out-of-this-world medspa services
Positioning line: Be a smoother version of you.
Mission Statement:
Andromeda Aesthetics gives patients around Smith Mountain Lake natural-looking aesthetic treatment with clinical-grade safety and small-town warmth. Rachel listens first. She explains each option and its trade-offs in plain language, then the patient decides. Nobody needs any of these treatments, and Rachel says so. The goal is to enhance, not change.
Vision Statement:
To be the lake community's home for skin health and natural-looking results. One practitioner who knows every patient by name, a menu of treatments she has tried on herself, and results that still look like you.
Unique Value Proposition (UVP):
Rachel Blankenship is a doctorate-level Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with ICU experience, and she is the only practitioner at Andromeda Aesthetics. Patients see her at the first consultation and at every visit after it. There are no hand-offs and no rotating staff. She offers only treatments she has tried herself and keeps appointments long so there is time to explain. There is no pressure and no upsell.
The practice puts skin health first: IPL for sun spots and sun damage, chemical peels, erbium laser resurfacing and laser tattoo removal, alongside dermal and lip fillers placed so results still look like you.
Core Values:
- The patient decidesRachel explains the options and the trade-offs. The patient chooses what is right for them, with no pressure and no upsell.
- Enhance, not changeResults that look like you, a little smoother and refreshed. Nothing overdone and nothing that looks like it belongs on someone else's face.
- Tested firstRachel tries every product and treatment on herself before she offers it to patients. If it does not meet her standard, it does not make the menu.
- Safety-first careA doctorate in nurse anesthesia and years of ICU and anesthesia work shape every recommendation. Evidence comes first, and Rachel explains her reasons.
- Time to explainAppointments are long by design. Every question gets a plain-language answer, including what to expect afterward and what to do at home.
- Rooted at the lakeBuilt for the Smith Mountain Lake area by someone who lives here. One practitioner, one location, and patients she knows by name.
Brand Story:
Rachel Blankenship earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at San Jose State University in 2012 and worked in the intensive care unit in Roanoke until 2016. She went on to a Master of Science in Nursing in nurse anesthesia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018 and a Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice in 2019. She is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
She opened Andromeda Aesthetics to offer medical aesthetic treatment close to home at Smith Mountain Lake, with the same evidence-based, safety-first habits she brings to anesthesia. Every product and technology on the menu is one she has tried herself. The practice stays small on purpose: one practitioner, long appointments, no hand-offs.
Today the focus is skin health. Patients come in for IPL and sun spots, chemical peels, erbium resurfacing and laser tattoo removal, and for dermal and lip fillers that keep them looking like themselves. Every treatment starts with a complimentary consultation, and every patient makes the call.
Target Audience:
Andromeda Aesthetics serves adults in Moneta and across the Smith Mountain Lake area, including Westlake Corner, Hardy, Union Hall, Rocky Mount and Bedford and Franklin Counties. Many come in for sun spots, uneven tone or texture. Others want fillers that still look like them. Plenty are new to aesthetic treatment and want a full explanation before they decide anything.
What they share is what they value: a calm, private setting, honest expectations, and a clinician who knows their name and history. They are not looking for a high-volume clinic or a sales pitch.
